Penthouse: a bargain $1800
Luxury travelers looking for a bargain can now book at half price the Martinelli Penthouse at The Buckingham Hotel.
Normal rates of $3,600 a night have been reduced to $1800 per night through 31 August.
The stylish penthouse features a kitchen and breakfast nook, king and queen bedrooms, a sprawling living room, two bathrooms, fireplace and terrace with a view overlooking Central Park and the midtown Manhattan skyline.
The penthouse is named after long-time resident and Metropolitan Opera tenor Giovanni Martinelli. Musical comedy star Bobby Van, of “Kiss Me Kate†fame, also used the penthouse as both a pied-à -terre and dance studio.
The Buckingham is a boutique style hotel in the heart of midtown Manhattan’s cultural district located across the street from Carnegie Hall on W. 57th Street and Avenue of the Americas.
Amenities at the Buckingham include a complete pre-arrival concierge service, full-service business center, in-room high-speed anywhere-Internet connection, wired meeting space and a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center with private shower and sauna.
