Philly reinstates indoor mask mandate
Philadelphia is the first major US city to bring back a mask mandate. The city’s Public Health Commissioner Dr. Cheryl Bettigole announced the reinstatement of masks in all indoor public places from April 18.
The city moves to level 2 of Covid-19 restrictions, which requires the wearing of masks in all indoor facilities including schools, and restaurants.
The city’s number of cases is up 50% compared to just 10 days ago, Bettigole said.
