Pillow fight?
American Airlines recently removed some pillows. And now United Airlines is giving them away.
United earlier this month gave away gift bags to passengers flying between New York and San Francisco. In addition to luxury items, the bags had Tempur-Pedic Travel Pillows, known for their pressure-relieving material and body-conforming nature.
The company says it did so to “raise the bar on service.”
American Airlines recently removed its pillows from its MD-80 jets in a cost-cutting move.
Pillows on American’s 334 MD-80 planes were relocated to other planes, which American said will keep the pillows — for the time being, anyway.
