Plane carrying plumbers turns back due to faulty plumbing
A flight carrying dozens of plumbers was forced to do a u-turn because of a problem with the lavatories.
The Norwegian Air Shuttle flight was carrying the 70-plus plumbers from the Rorkjop company from Oslo to Munich for a trade event.
Its chief executive Frank Olsen told the Washington Post: "Seldom has there been more laughter in an airplane…when the reason given is ‘toilet problems.’"
The flight returned to Oslo shortly after take off, but the aircraft was forced to circle in the air to use up some fuel before it was light enough to land, during which time the lavatories were out of use.
Olsen joked that the plumbers onboard would have been happy to fix the problem, but it had to be done from outside the aircraft.
