A Luxair plane crashed in fog near Luxembourg airport, killing 20 of the 22 people on board.
The Luxair flight LG 9642/LH2420 from Berlin-Tempelhof crashed as it was preparing to land yesterday morning. The crash site was about six miles from Luxembourg’s Findel airport.
The airport closed for a few hours, but has since reopened.
A statement from Luxair detailing the nationality of passengers onboard revealed that most were German, with two French and two Luxemburgish, as well as the three Luxembourgish crew members.
