P&O Ferries resumes Dover-Calais sailings
P&O Ferries restarts its normal Dover-Calais passenger services on The Spirit of Britain ship. The ferry operator restarted with a reduced timetable on Tuesday.
However, daily capacity remains limited as The Spirit of Britain is the only P&O ship in service on the route. Previously, P&O had four ferries operating on the over-Calais route.
P&O controversially sacked nearly 800 workers in March in order to replace them with cheap labour.
The Pride of Kent, which operates Dover-Calais sailings, failed its Maritime and Coastguard Agency re-inspection.
