P&O targets repeat cruisers with preview brochure
P&O Cruises is targeting repeat bookers with the launch of a new-look preview brochure showcasing 2007 departures.
The company will initially put the product on sale on April 1 exclusively for loyalty club members before releasing it to the wider market.
Each ship will go on sale on a different day, starting on April 4 with Aurora.
Commercial director Nigel Esdale said the launch is in demand from customers to secure their cruise as early as possible.
“Publishing a preview brochure means we can get the new cruise itineraries to market earlier and at the same time reward our frequent and past passengers with the best value, early booking discounts,” he said.
The brochure will be targeted at repeat bookers more than in previous years by focusing on itineraries, rather than the ships.
Esdale said: “We know past passengers require less product information as they are familiar with our ships. They know which experience they are looking for, on which ship they want to sail and will have a general idea of where they want to go on their next cruise.”
Comprehensive information on facilities and on-board activities will be featured in the main brochure in June.
P&O will visit seven new ports in 2007 – Cayo Levantado in the Dominican Republic, Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos, Klaipeda in Lithuania, Lulea in Sweden, Vaasa in Finland, Valencia and Savannah in Georgia, US.
