Podcast: The ‘influencer’ who’s trying to get young people cruising

Thursday, 20 Feb, 2020 0

Meet Emma, a blogger who is trying to convince more young people to cruise via her website cruisingisntjustforoldpeople.com, her Youtube channel, Facebook and Instagram. You might soon be seeing her on telly too. Think of her as Generation X’s Jane McDonald.

She says the idea that cruising is for old people is out of date and really believes that cruise ships offer plenty of attractions for younger holidaymakers. It’s all about picking the right ship, she says.

In this podcast, she also talks about the relationship between travel companies, in this case cruise lines, and the new breed of ‘influencers’ and how businesses use infuencer marketing, a topic which will also be discussed at the ABTA PR in Travel Conference in London on March 17.

Have a listen.
