Police investigating suicide at Disney resort
Police investigating a death at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World believe it was suicide.
A woman was found unresponsive and died at the scene after apparently jumping from an upper floor of the hotel.
The fall was reportedly seen by other guests who alerted emergency services.
Roads in and around the area were temporarily closed while police cordoned off the area.
"Deputies responded to the Contemporary Resort after a call came in about someone who may have jumped off the building. Deputies responded and found a female, unresponsive, who was later pronounced deceased," the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
It is not the first suicide at the Contemporary Resort.
A guest fell to their death at the hotel in 2016 which was later ruled as a suicide.
