PortAventura World and Hard Rock International seal an agreement to open first outlet in a theme park

PortAventura World has announced a major agreement with the dining and entertainment brand Hard Rock International to open a new Hard Rock Cafe at the entrance of PortAventura Park this summer.

PortAventura Park is a theme and entertainment infrastructure located 100 km south of Barcelona along the coast. PortAventura World Parks & Resort is one of Europe’s largest family vacation and leisure destinations. Over more than 30 years of history, the resort has welcomed over 100 million visitors.

The complex features five 4-star themed hotels and one 5-star hotel (PortAventura Hotels), along with four off-site hotels (Ponient Hotels), offering more than 3,300 rooms in total. It also includes the PortAventura Convention Centre, which can host up to 6,000 people.

Hard Rock Cafe PortAventura will consequently be the first Hard Rock Cafe located within a themed resort in Europe, giving visitors the opportunity to combine this new experience with the resort’s existing offer of three theme parks and ten hotels. This partnership with the global entertainment brand aims to strengthen the destination’s international tourism appeal by helping reduce seasonality and broadening the visitor profile.

With capacity for around 430 guests, the new venue has been specially designed for families, young visitors, couples, and music lovers. It will feature live concerts and full table service for lunch and dinner year-round. It will be open to everyone—without requiring admission to the parks or resort hotels.

The restaurant will offer the signature Hard Rock Cafe menu, including classic favorites such as burgers, ribs, sandwiches, and salads, along with vegetarian options. This dining experience will be complemented by a live music program and the brand’s signature décor, featuring iconic memorabilia and legendary items once owned by some of the biggest stars in the music industry.

The new venue will also include a Rock Shop, featuring an exclusive merchandise line developed in collaboration with PortAventura World. It is also expected to become an ideal setting for hosting both private and corporate events.

This new location—the brand’s first in the province of Tarragona and second in Catalonia—further strengthens the appeal and potential of the Costa Daurada as one of Europe’s leading tourism destinations.

Hard Rock Cafe PortAventura will join the brand’s international network, which spans more than 75 countries and includes over 300 venues worldwide, including hotels, casinos, Rock Shops, live performance venues, and cafes that are owned, licensed, or managed by the company.
