Power failure hits flights at Edinburgh
Flights were disrupted at Edinburgh Airport after a power cut this morning.
It is believed the electricity failed just before 9am, plunging the main hall into darkness for almost an hour.
Announcements were also affected, leading to confusion among passengers. Many took to social media to air their frustrations.
Most Scottish schools have now broken up for the summer, so many families were off on their holidays.
In its latest tweet, Edinburgh Airport said the power was now returning to the terminal.
"We’re working to restore systems and allow passengers to continue their travels as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience while we fix this issue. The safety of our passengers and staff is our priority."
