Premier Travel confirms closure of two agencies

Friday, 04 Apr, 2013 0

Premier Travel has announced plans to close two branches following a full review of the business.

The East Anglian based miniple said the Gorleston branch, near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, has already closed with all bookings transferring to its Reeptham Road branch.

Its Travel Centre in Grove Road, Norwich, is currently operating as normal but there are plans to close it "in the near future".

"Bookings, along with two full time members of staff, will then be transferred to our other Norwich branches in Reeptham Road and Bedford Street," said a spokesman for the agency’s parent, Premier Group.

"After a full review of the business it became apparent that business levels at these branches were not in line with the others and therefore the changes had to be made.

"This was obviously a very difficult decision but we believe a strategic one, which enables us to utilise resources and grow our business in our most successful branches."

He said there are no plans to close any further branches.
