The prestigious and coveted TravelMole “The Golden Mole” Awards were announced this weekend, with Tourism Australia and The Little Bali Hotel Resort Company receiving awards.

John Alwyn-Jones, Chairman, Managing Director and Editor of TravelMole said on behalf of The Mole, that he was delighted to inform the Australian travel and tourism industry that Tourism Australia and The Little Bali Hotel Resort Company had been awarded the highly coveted and prestigious “The Golden Mole Award” for their highly innovative approach to international marketing through their international “Where The Bloody Hell Are You” and “Where the Bali Hell Are You” campaigns.

He also said that an illustrious panel of judges, including The Mole, the remainder of whom having to remain confidential, considered awarding Tourism Australia and The Little Bali Hotel Resort Company these prestigious awards and they were unanimous in the decision that the Awards would be made

Mike Parker-Brown of The Little Bali Hotel & Resort Company said, “On behalf of all The Little Bali Hotel & Resort Company team – Brett Morgan, Spiro Ellul, Vicki Jansz, each and every one of our Bali members and myself – thank you very much for this prestigious recognition”.

He added, “We are of course delighted that the “Where the Bali hell are you?” campaign seems to have had, initially, the desired effect in helping to kick-start a resurgence of interest in Bali and the exceptional travel opportunities this wonderfully multi-faceted destination offers to all Australian travellers – irrespective of taste or budget”.   “And that is where all of us wish the focus to remain – on reinstating Bali in its rightful place as one of Australia’s premier overseas holiday destinations:.

He also said, “Again thank you very much, The Little Bali Hotel & Resort Company is very honoured to be a recipient of this award”.

The Golden Mole Awards are made at any time, at the discretion of The Mole and the panel of judges, to organisations and individuals who have performed in an exemplary manner or have demonstrated the very highest degree of innovation in some form as deemed appropriate at the discretion of the judges, in the tourism, travel and associated industries and sectors.

The Mole’s offers sincerest congratulations to Tourism Australia and The Little Bali Hotel Resort Company teams in receiving these Awards.
