Princess Cruises announces Platinum Jubilee celebrations
Princess Cruises has unveiled its onboard celebration plans for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Between 2-5 June 2022, activities to celebrate the milestone will take place onboard the line’s UK homeport ships – Sky Princess, Enchanted Princess, Emerald Princess, and Island Princess.
Live coverage of official events will be shown on the ships’ ‘Movies Under the Stars’ screen including ‘Trooping of the Colour’; Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Abbey; the Epsom Derby; Platinum Party at the Palace; and the Jubilee Party.
The onboard Piazzas will be decorated for the occasion with banners and buntings in the royal colours and guests will be encouraged to wear the royal red, white and blue for a special dress up night.
British-themed food and beverages will be served across the four days, including a ‘Royal Afternoon Tea’ with classic British favourites such as Victoria sponge cake; Pimms and strawberries served on top deck; and a ‘Royal Dinner’ menu.
In addition, entertainment will take place exclusively on Sky Princess, including a ‘Royal Variety Show’ performed in the Princess Theatre, featuring an Elton John tribute; ‘Royal Trivia’ in Princess Live!; and a talk from guest speaker Grant Harrold, former butler of HRH, Prince of Wales.

All-inclusive fares for a seven-night Norwegian Fjords cruise on Sky Princess start from £829pp (includes premium drinks, unlimited Wi-Fi and crew appreciation).
It departs 4 June 2022, sailing roundtrip Southampton and calling at Bergen, Skjolden, Olden and Stavanger.
