Princess Cruises offers biometric entry on San Diego sailings
Princess Cruises partnered with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for biometric entry into the Port of San Diego.
San Diego is the latest seaport to streamline the debarkation process.
The biometric facial comparison process is secure and contact-less, said Jennifer De La O, CBP Director in San Diego.
A face is photographed and checked against a passport or visa photograph on file in DHS systems.
Once verified, they can proceed to customs and exit the terminal.
Verification takes about two seconds.
