Princess Cruises partners with award winning Broadway composer
Princess Cruises aims to make sweet music on the seas with a collaboration with a renowned Broadway and movie composer.
Award winning composer Stephen Schwartz will pen four musicals that will be performed across the fleet over the next few years, Princess said.
First up will be ‘Magic to Do,’ which will include a song specially written for Princess along with many of his most famous melodies.
The show debuts in the fall aboard Crown Princess.
Schwartz wrote for Broadway hits ‘Wicked,’ ‘Godspell’ and ‘Pippin,’ and also won Oscars for the music on ‘Pocahontas’ and ‘The Prince of Egypt.’
“Stephen is hands down one of the most talented and accomplished Broadway composers of all time, and we couldn’t be more honored to partner with him,” said Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz.
“We’re thrilled to embark on this extraordinary new live-show entertainment.”
