PSCO charged with theft from Gatwick passengers
A police community support officer has been charged with stealing £15,000 from passengers while on duty at Gatwick Airport.
Alexis Scott, 39, of High Grove, London, is accused of taking the money from multiple passengers in April.
Sussex Police said the PCSO was arrested and questioned over the allegations in May.
She has been charged with seven counts of theft and one count of misconduct in a public office, and will appear at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court on September 2.
PCSOs are paid and usually patrol a beat and interact with the public. They do not have the same powers as regular police officers but deal with minor offences.
