Public transport strike in Brussels
Public transport in Brussels is expected to be heavily disrupted all day Tuesday because of a strike by public service workers.
The CGSP union is protesting about budget cuts and other federal government policies and the industrial action has been timed to coincide with a planned speech by prime minister Charles Michel.
SNCB train services will be hit for 24 hours from 10pm on Monday as the main CGSP-Cheminots rail workers’ union has asked its members to strike.
The Foreign Office said: "A public sector strike between 10pm on 9 October and 10pm on 10 October 2017 may cause disruption to public services and transport. You should contact your tour operator before travelling and allow extra time for your journey."
The strike coincides with a day of industrial action in France.
