Qantas assists Bali victims
Qantas has today announced a fourth relief flight from Bali to assist Australian tourists affected by the recent acts of terrorism.
The Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Dixon, said Qantas had operated two 767-300 relief flights from Sydney on 2nd and 3rd October, along with one from Perth on the 2nd, carrying a total of 546 people.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and work with the Australian Government to provide whatever assistance is required,” he said.
Both Qantas and Australian Airlines have implemented a special waiver and refund policy for bookings to Indonesia, in place until October 31.
“Customers will not pay any penalty if they want to amend, defer or cancel their travel plans to Indonesia,” Mr Dixon said.
