Qantas ground staff vote to strike
There is possibly more turbulence ahead for beleaguered Qantas Group. Qantas and Jetstar engineers voted in favour of strike action. The Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association (ALAEA) is demanding better pay and conditions for hundreds of maintenance engineers
They seek just a 3% pay rise.
The union says it will start with ‘one-minute token stoppages’ to get Qantas around the negotiating table.
