Qantas passenger ‘wins the internet’ with beer prank
An Australian has successfully checked in a can of beer as his only luggage on a Qantas domestic flight.
The can of Emu Export, complete with luggage tag, was the first item on the baggage carousel at Perth Airport on Saturday after a four-hour flight from Melbourne.
The passenger, identified in local media as Dean Stinson, said he and a mate had come up with the idea as a joke.
A spokesman for Qantas told the BBC the airline would not encourage other travellers to follow suit.
"This guy’s done it and he’s won the internet for the day, so we’re happy to move on," the spokesman said.
