Qantas resumes A380 flights to Dallas
Qantas has restarted Airbus A380 superjumbo flights to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
It marks the A380’s return to Texas for the first time in five years.
The Sydney – Dallas route is the world’s second longest by A380.
Emirates’ Dubai to Auckland flight is the longest at an extra 200 miles in length.
“It was a special moment as our Qantas A380 touched down at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) for the first time since 2020,” said Ash Howell, Qantas EVP.
“Its return marks another important milestone in the growth of our international network and comes at the perfect time ahead of the peak southern summer travel period.”
The flight spans more than 8,500 miles.
Qantas also announced it is boosting flights between Auckland and New York City for next summer.
It increases from five flights a week to daily service.
