Qatar Airways and Air Seychelles ink airline codeshare pact
Qatar Airways unveiled a new airline codeshare partnership with flag carrier Air Seychelles.
It allows passengers seamless travel to and from the topical Indian Ocean destination.
Qatar Airways serves over 160 destinations and connects travellers from Africa, America, Asia and Europe easily to and from the Seychelles via Doha.
Currently, Qatar Airways operates a daily flight between Doha and Seychelles International Airport in Mahé.
The airline codeshare sees Qatar Airways place its code on Air Seychelles’ operated flights between Mahé and Praslin. enabling passengers to continue their journey on a single booking.
Qatar Airways Group CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Our two airlines are pleased to work together to to support the tourism industry in Seychelles.”
Air Seychelles maintains its domestic network with a fleet of five Twin Otter turbo props operating between Mahé and Praslin as well as charter flights.
“This new partnership will provide passengers with new connection opportunities and access to unique destinations,” said Air Seychelles, acting CEO, Captain Sandy Benoiton.
