Qatar, VisitBritain promote Scottish capital
Qatar Airways and VisitBritain have launched a joint campaign promoting new flights linking Australia with Edinburgh, via Doha.
In 2014 Scotland is celebrating the Year of Homecoming with a full calendar of events showcasing the nation’s food and drink, active pursuits, cultural heritage, nature and ancestral heritage.
During 2014, Scotland will host the Glasgow XX Commonwealth Games from July 23-August 3 and the associated cultural programme, while the Ryder Cup will be played at Gleneagles resort in September.
The joint Qatar Airways/VisitBritain campaign will start March 21 incorporating digital and radio advertising nationally as well as consumer events in Melbourne and Perth.
Qatar Airways currently serves London and Manchester in the UK with Edinburgh becoming its first Scottish gateway with five flights per week from May 28.
