Quebec ski resorts team up for joint ski pass, marketing campaign
Quebec City and the Charlevoix region’s three largest ski resorts have teamed up to form a strategic partnership which offers a multi-area ski lift pass for hotel guests.
The St. Lawrence Summits multi-peak lift ticket can be purchased at a participating hotels in the Quebec City, Stoneham or Charlevoix regions and lets skiers and boarders to move around between the resort areas with a single three-mountain lift ticket.
"This new product will allow us to better position ourselves in a context where North American competition in the skiing sector is fierce," said Daniel Guay, owner of Hébergement Charlevoix and a board director of Tourisme Charlevoix.
We can now offer a truly world-class multi-activity winter destination, where skiing is the flagship product," he added.
The joint venture has earmarked CAD$600,000 to fund a major advertising campaign in partnership with Tourisme Charlevoix, Tourisme Québec and other tourism agencies.
The campaign will be marketed in Quebec, Ontario and the US.
Tourism officials say the integrated lift pass represents an average 30% discount on accommodation and lift tickets and there will also be a series of special limited time deals through the season for multi-peak ticket holders.
Throughout December, skiers will receive 50% off the second night of accommodation and the second day on the slopes.
In January, the third night of accommodation and skiing is free.
In March, not including the Spring Break period, all kids 17 years old and under get free unlimited skiing.
To avoid lines at the resorts, multi-peak tickets can be booked online.
