Queenstown awards for Grand Mercure
Grand Mercure St Moritz further cemented its reputation as a leader in business by winning three categories at the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, spanning every sector of Queenstown industry including the supreme award.
St Moritz won the Excellence in Hospitality Award (for its restaurant Lombardi), Excellence in Accommodation Award, and overall winner for Queenstown’s Business of the Year. This swag of awards has placed St Moritz at the forefront of businesses in Queenstown, and has gained the property immense status within the local community.
“The thrill of receiving an award is never diminished, however there is nothing better for St Moritz than to be recognised by our own business community,” said General Manager, Lynne McVicar.
“These Business excellence awards continue to be a fantastic vehicle for us to enhance our business, they not only acknowledge the Team’s exemplary efforts but leverage St Moritz within a tough competitive market.”
These recently revived awards are to be held every two years to recognise business excellence within the Queenstown Region and to provide companies the opportunity to undertake a concentrated review of their organisation.
Independently judged and based on the International Baldridge Business Excellence Criteria, these awards take a 3600 approach to business success and comprehensively assess the following areas – Leadership, Customer Focus, Quality, People Management, Innovation, Planning, Knowledge, Community & Environment, Business Results (independently audited)
