Raccoon runs amok in airport
A raccoon caused a moment of chaos as travelers were set to board a flight at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
The critter suddenly burst through the ceiling sending passengers and airport staff running for cover.
It happened at a Spirit Airlines gate.
Video footage shows the raccoon hanging on a cable coming from the ceiling before falling to the ground.
The frightened critter then scurried away past a TSA security checkpoint.
A Port Authority spokesperson said the raccoon was eventually captured alive and released unharmed out the airport.
It is unknown how the raccoon got into the airport.
