Rate Tracker launch by BSI
Corporate accommodation agency BSI is piloting an online hotel rate tracking system.
Rate Tracker is designed to ensure the best possible rate is given to the corporate customer.
If a like-for-like rate is reduced after the time of booking, the system is designed to pass on the lower tariff to the customer.
BSI commercial director Trevor Elswood revealed that the system was half way through a two-month pilot project with two clients.
The development is an extension of the company’s Rate Raiser system which targets key merchant websites to keep a constant eye on ever-changing hotel rates.
BSI is also adding to its BSI Direct online self-booking tool with enhanced destination maps.
The company claims to offer 7O,OOO hotels in Europe and booked 1.65 million hotel nights and 16,7OO events last year. It pledges to cut client travel and entertainment budgets by at least 15%.
