Ravenna to host 100 Italian Art Cities trade show
Ravenna will be the new location for the 100 Italian Art Cities trade show scheduled for May 22-25.
The highlight of the four-day show will be the workshop, which is to be held at the Ravenna Art Museum; other places throughout the Byzantine city will serve as excellent locations for conferences and educational tours for TOs. This region, one of the most active in promoting tourism, should be a backdrop for the event, which has proven to be a success in the past.
The large exposition area stretching between the public squares Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Garibaldi was made available by the City of Ravenna. It will be brimming with cultural activities and product sampling offered by the exhibitors. The choice of Ravenna, which is included on the Unesco world heritage sites, as is Ferrara, definitely provides further opportunity to promote the lesser-known cities, which act as the loom for Italy’s artistic, architectural, historical, and cultural fabric.
The event is being promoted by Confesercenti and organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, City, and Province of Ravenna, as well as ENIT Agency, the APTR in Emilia Romagna, and Unicredit. ENIT’s foreign offices selected about 80 buyers from various countries to participate in the trade show, now being put on for the 12th time.
