Recruiters unite to support travel industry careers.
inPlace Recruitment and Travel Management Service-Asia Pacific have put any commercial differences to one side in an unusual move for two of the travel industry’s largest recruitment players enhancing the perception of careers in the travel industry.
Travel Management Services – Asia Pacific (TMS) today announced it is joining the Travel Industry Careers Association (TICA) as a member and platinum sponsor and will be working alongside inPlace Recruitment, together with several other high profile industry representatives.
Although usually competitors in the travel industry recruitment sector, inPlace Recruitment and TMS have recognised the importance of working together for the greater good of the industry through TICA.
Sandra Chiles, Managing Director of inPlace Recruitment and Vice Chairperson of TICA, believes it’s important that the industry comes together to support TICA in its quest to promote the travel industry as a career of choice.
“This really is an issue that is bigger than our individual businesses and requires us all pulling together to see the industry move forward through initiatives developed by TICA”.
Mandy Scotney, General Manager of TMS – Asia Pacific, recognises the importance of industry players getting behind TICA.
“We are very excited to come on board with TICA. As the candidate shortage continues to bite, the travel industry as a whole must work together to promote itself as an industry of choice and the Association is a powerful vehicle to do this. TMS, as an organisation, is committed to partnering with the industry and joining TICA is testament to this commitment.”
Ms Chiles said industry support continues to grow with more companies coming on board as sponsors however more industry support is still essential.
Interested parties should contact TICA Chairman, Harold Wolpert on (02) 9419 4040 or [email protected] or Sandra Chiles on (02) 9278 5103 or [email protected] to add their support.
