Dynamic packaging for holidaymakers looking for stays in the Isle of Wight is being introduced.
The initiative by Red Funnel Holidays will enable users going to the company’s new-look website to select accommodation, book live availability at selected providers and then choose ferry travel.
Bookings currently have to be made via telephone or email.
The online holiday component building is part of a revamped website which includes mapping, photography and video coming soon.
The “Places to Stay” section of the site is new and replaces the old Red Funnel Holidays website and is at www.redfunnel.co.uk/holidays.
The changes coincide with the publication of a redesigned Isle of Wight Guide – Short Breaks and Holidays 2009 brochure covering almost 100 properties on the island.
Discounted ferry travel is available when accommodation is booked through the company.
Red Funnel marketing manager Tom Pell-Stevens said: "With people examining their outgoings carefully and a growing trend for so-called “stay-cations” all signs point to a good summer for UK destinations such as the Isle of Wight.”
“With a sunnier than average climate, a packed events calendar and stunning scenery, plus the feeling of “going abroad” that comes with a trip to the island, the Isle of Wight is looking forward to a busy year.”
