Regional airline industry group searching for new president
Regional Airline Association will begin a search for a new president following the resignation of Roger Cohen.
The RAA board of directors has announced Faye Malarkey Black as interim replacement.
Black has 25 years’ experience in strategic planning and management, and has held posts at the RAA since 1998, most recently as senior vice president, government affairs.
"Faye has the Board’s full support and confidence to lead RAA’s exceptional staff as interim president," said Linda A. Markham, RAA chair and Cape Air president.
"During her many years of service, Faye has developed invaluable insight into the operations of RAA and has long played a key role in our association’s strategic decisions."
RAA, which represents 29 North American regional airlines and almost 200 associate members, will form a search committee to find a permanent successor to Cohen.
RAA celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2015.
"We are grateful for Roger’s valuable contributions and dedicated advocacy on behalf of RAA’s members during the past eight years. His leadership has helped the regional airline industry navigate through a period of dynamic changes requiring our industry to once again show its resiliencr to adapt to market demands," Markham added.
