TravelMole is asking anyone who signed up to today’s Tourism after the Tsunami FastConference and is unable to come to contact us to free-up their space for others.
The fully-booked event takes place this afternoon at the Sheraton Park Tower Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge between 16.00-18.00. The conference venue has kindly been donated by Starwood Hotels.
The panel of speakers includes Geoffrey Lipman, special advisor to the World Tourism Organisation; Tim Robinson, chairman of the UK chapter of PATA; Derek Moore, co-founder of adventure tour operator Explore Worldwide; Tom Hall, travel information manager for Lonely Planet travel guides; David Soskin, chief executive of Cheapflights.co.uk and Dave Simmons, managing director of Quest Travel.
The moderator of the event is former Travel Weekly editor Jeremy Skidmore, a contributor to TravelMole and the Daily Telegraph’s travel news pages.
Donations made at the conference will go towards TravelAid50 which is being supported by 40 travel companies in conjunction with PATA to raise funds to help redevelop infrastructure – especially schools – in tourism destinations affected by the tsunami.
