Rex launching new Brisbane flights
Aussie regional carrier Rex announced it will start daily Adelaide flights from Brisbane from 30 October.
This is the third new route Rex has launched in the last three months.
It follows the start of Adelaide-Sydney and Melbourne-Hobart routes.
Adelaide is now connected to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
“Step by step, our footprint is gradually growing as we continue to spread our wings,” Rex Deputy Chairman, John Sharp AM, said.
The new route will be operated by a Boeing 737-800NG and offer an additional 128,000 seats a year between Adelaide and Brisbane.
One-way Economy launch fares start at $148, including a checked baggage allowance.
“Rex has opened a further pipeline for Queenslanders to discover South Australia,” said Adelaide Airport MD, Brenton Cox.
“Adelaide Airport is back to pre-pandemic domestic passenger numbers and climbing so this new service is very timely.”
Rex was just named Airline of the Year at the Australian Aviation Awards for 2023 organised in partnership with the University of NSW.
It is the second consecutive year Rex has won the award.
