Rezidor’s Missoni brand set for UK
Rezidor SAS is to open four hotels in the UK under the Italian fashion brand Missoni.
The hotel group is aiming to open one in London, two in Scotland and another, possibly in Birmingham, within four years.
The first is expected to open in Edinburgh by 2008. All are likely to be new-build properties.
The plans follow the signing of a worldwide licensing agreement with the Missoni family last November.
Rezidor vice president Puneet Chhatwal told TravelMole the brand would initially be rolled out across Europe with around 15 earmarked before 2010.
The hotels will be boutique properties – in keeping with the Missoni fashion brand – and contain between 120 and 150 rooms.
