Richard Launder named as new CEO of Destination America
President of The Travel Corporation USA, Richard Launder, has a new role as CEO and president of the group’s destination management company Destination America.
Luander took over from Madhvi Buch, who is now SVP of TTC USA.
Destination America serves as ground services provider across the Americas for TTC brands including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, and Luxury Gold.
Launder began his travel industry career 35 years ago as a bartender and has held various positions such as head of USA for Contiki, and became president of TTC USA in 2005.
"Working on a new growth strategy for Destination America this year, I found myself getting really drawn into the project and I realized that I was interested in actioning this plan and returning to run a single business which I am personally and directly responsible for," Launder said.
In the meantime group CEO Brett Tollman will assume leadership of TTC USA, spending more time in California to support the executive team there.
