Libra Holidays sales and marketing director Paul Riches is to leave the operator next month.

He is to join another unnamed travel company after more than five years with the Eastern Mediterranean operator

Riches leaves the company in the middle of next month.

He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Libra Holidays and believe we have achieved a great deal in that period. In what has been a difficult trading period for the industry, I am leaving the business in good shape, with forward bookings for 2007 currently on par with last year.”

Libra managing director Akis Kyprianou said: “Paul has helped to increase our distribution through the retail trade, who still account for over 90% of our overall business. Paul has decided to leave the business, in order to take up another position within travel. He leaves on good terms and we wish him every success in his new position.”

Kim Wonnacott, will be responsible for the sales and marketing functions for an interim period, in addition to her current role of head of overseas and product.

Julie Hadall will continue her role as national account manager and trade. Consumer PR will continue to be handled in house by Lena Georgiou.

“I plan to announce a new permanent structure within the next three months,” said Kyprianou.
