River cruise-only rates offered by Peter Deilmann

Friday, 24 Oct, 2007 0

River cruise-only rates have been introduced by Peter Deilmann Cruises for 2008.

The move has been made to help agents dynamically package cruise itineraries.

Cruise-only prices start at £659 per person for a seven-night cruise on board MV Heidelberg on the Rhine, travelling from Mainz to Amsterdam.

Managing director Stuart Perl said: “There are now opportunities for agents to package flight and rail travel with a land-based stay on all our itineraries.

“Our fleet of river vessels travel deep into the heart of Europe and we’ve discovered that our passengers often like to spend more time exploring the regions before or after their cruise.”

The cruise-only options appear in an advance summary of the company’s 2008 brochure, which includes themed cruises, escorted cruises, combination cruises, and !0% off bookings made before November 30, 2007.

The preview brochure also showcases popular classical music-themed cruises, with the addition of a jazz-themed cruise on the Danube in July.

“Our music cruises offer great opportunities for agents to make group bookings,” said Perl. “There are many customers who like to share their hobbies and experiences with like-minded people and I urge agents to tap into these niche areas and target groups of customers.”

The 20-page preview brochure also gives details of escorted cruises as well as longer combination cruises with complimentary shore excursions for more experienced travellers.

A seven-night classical music cruise along the Danube (Passau-Passau) on board five-star MV Mozart is starts at £1,289 cruise only, departing on April 20 and October 5.

A seven-night jazz themed cruise along the Danube (Passau-Passau) on the MV Mozart leads in at £1,399 cruise only departing on July 27.
