River cruise ship quarantined in Cambodia
Cambodia has quarantined a river cruise vessel after the country’s third confirmed coronavirus case..
Cambodian health minister Mam Bunheng said a UK tourist aboard the Viking River Cruises ship tested positive and is now in isolation in a Cambodia hospital.
The ship sailed up the Mekong River from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Cambodian capital Phnom Penh and then docked in Kampong Cham province.
"The health ministry made arrangements to transfer the British woman from the ship to a separate ward at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital for treatment," the minister said.
The ship is carrying 30 passengers and 34 crew members and is currently quarantined and under police guard.
The British woman is part of a party of five who travelled from the UK via Hanoi, Vietnam.
The other four travelling companions were tested and had negative results.
Vietnam is currently tracking the group’s travel history in the country as well as contacting fellow passengers on the Vietnam Airlines inbound flight from London.
