Riviera Travel UK tours back for 2022
Riviera Travel recently concluded its first ever UK tour season with almost 2,500 guests on over 100 group tours.
The original tour schedule was from April to October 2021, but was extended into December to meet guest demand.
The programme covered 12 itineraries, over five or six days, and included destinations such as Devon, Oxford, the Scottish Highlands and Somerset.
There were also solo options to Norfolk, Cornwall, The Lake District and North Yorkshire.
These small group experiences were up to 25 guests travelling in socially-distanced, full-sized coaches that were a maximum half-full.
Stays were in select four- or three-star hotels, centrally situated to the local area.
Riviera has launched a follow-up 2022 UK tour programme, which similarly comprises over 100 group journeys – including solo options – across the previous 12 itineraries.
The tours operate from March to December, 2022, with prices starting at £519pp.
Joanne Lynn, Head of European Product at Riviera Travel, said: “Our UK tours have proved a fantastic success and we’re delighted both with guest demand and the overwhelmingly positive feedback. We’re pleased to confirm that 2022 will see the return of the UK itineraries, and we’re already seeing plenty of returning guests as well as people sampling our tours for the first time.
Itineraries include the Highlands and Skye, which visits Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. It comprises a Loch Ness scenic cruise, the Fort William to Mallaig train journey, and the Cairngorms National Park.
