Rogue wave cruise ship death is American woman
Cruise line Viking said the cruise ship death following a large rogue wave was a 62-year-old American woman.
Four others were injured after the wave struck off the coast of Ushuaia, Argentina.
Reports say the cruise ship death was caused by broken glass as the wave crashed against stateroom windows.
The Viking Polaris was at the end of an Antarctica cruise.
The AP reported that there was on[y minor damage overall to the ship.
Viking described it as a ‘rogue wave incident’ and said its next scheduled voyage due to depart today is cancelled.
