Romagna – first Italian truly green tourism destination
Happy kids at Hotel Caribia – Green Gold award winner
The process "demonstrates that Romagna has some world-class green businesses" – unlocks global marketing.
The results of the pilot project to green Romagna tourism have been announced. The Hotel Caribia in Cervia and Camping Marecchia of Pennabilli, both got gold awards after the visit of a team of Italian and British inspectors. Now 27 of the participating tourism businesses have been inspected and have become part of Green Tourism with the majority of them receiving a silver award.
The gradings from the world’s biggest and most respected green tourism grading and advisory service have also unlocked many marketing opportunities including FAM visits from overseas tour operators and journalists and global green market exposure.
