Romantic city breaks along Rhine and Moselle in spring 2008
Romantic cities, sparkling moments. New city break packages to six historic towns and cities along the Rhine and Moselle are just a short hop from the UK by Ryanair. These packages are available from now on and hold out the promise of great city breaks in a romantic setting.
Romantic cities, sparkling moments. This is the slogan for Trier, Koblenz, Mainz, Worms, Speyer and Kaiserslautern in the south-western corner of Germany. Life here revolves around the Rhine & Moselle rivers, legendary palaces and castles, historic towns with winding streets and cosy restaurants, excellent wine & good food.
Visitors can choose a weekend break from a variety of themes such as history, wine or gardens. The heart of each break is a hotel that promises a cosy room, or even the honeymoon suite, relaxing baths and/or beauty and fitness facilities and champagne.
The attractions of the towns and surrounding areas set the right tone, especially the Rhine and Moselle rivers with their towering palaces and castles and wines.
The taster package “Sightseeing and Shopping”, is €49.00 per person and includes one night’s accommodation.
The best way to travel from the UK and Ireland is by Ryainair to Frankfurt Hahn airport. The towns are close to the airport and some have direct bus connections.
