Royal Air Maroc strengthens its Casablanca hub with 4 new routes
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is strengthening its network from Casablanca as part of its hub strategy. The carrier is launching effectively four new destinations starting September.
On September 17, RAM will start flying to Zurich offering two weekly flights. On the same day, the company will strengthen its African network with the opening of a new route to Ndjamena (Tchad) with two flights per week. The departure in late evening will favor connections from Europe or North Africa. On the return, RAM will depart in early morning hours from Ndjamena to facilitate connections to Europe in Casablanca.
On September 18, Royal Air Maroc will start flying to Sal Island (Cape Verde), with two flights per week. Flights will depart from Casablanca late at night with a return early morning to favor connections.
Finally, from October 20, RAM will land in Munich, proposing two flights per week.
“The upcoming opening of these four air routes marks a new stage in our development plan. It is accompanied by a continuous improvement of the customer experience, with modernized onboard services, optimized connectivity, and enhanced welcome both on board and on the ground,” told Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
“Our goal is to make Royal Air Maroc the benchmark for comfort and reliability, while promoting Morocco as a premier destination for travelers from around the world,” he added.
Boosting France connectivity from Marrakech
Meanwhile, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) reinstates also important links between Marrakech and France this coming winter season. France is Morocco’s largest Europe inbound market, generating last year 27.5% of all international arrivals.
The Moroccan carrier will consequently reopen four routes which were abandoned in 2017 and 2022. On October 10, the Moroccan air carrier will fly again to Lyon and Toulouse. On October 11, the airline will fly Marrakech-Nantes, followed a day later by Marrakech-Bordeaux. RAM will offer two weekly flights with a Boeing 737-800 on each route.
On October 27, Royal Air Maroc will also add a third weekly frequency between Marrakech and Marseilles. From December 16 until January 18, 2026, the airline will offer a daily flight between Marrakech and Paris CDG.
