Royal Air Maroc, JetBlue expand codeshare partnership
Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc and JetBlue Airways have entered into an expanded codeshare partnership to allow combined ticketing and baggage transfer between the two carriers.
Subject to regulatory approval, Royal Air Maroc will place its ‘AT’ airline code on JetBlue domestic flights onward from New York JFK to 22 destinations.
These include Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Orlando and Los Angeles.
JetBlue and Royal Air Maroc customers will also be able to book through ticketing from Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport to Marrakesh and more than a dozen other Moroccan cities.
The codeshare agreement also extends to ticketing and baggage transfers to an additional 24 destinations in West Africa.
"We are excited to expand our partnership with Royal Air Maroc and offer our customers a great selection of destinations across Morocco, West Africa and the Middle East full of varied culture, cuisines and spectacular nature," said Scott Laurence, senior vice president, airline planning at JetBlue.
Royal Air Maroc has just launched its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the New York-Casablanca route.
