Royal Caribbean forced to cancel cruise
Royal Caribbean has cancelled the next cruise for Brilliance of the Seas which was stranded off the coast of Florida by thick fog.
The ship was eventually escorted to land by the US coast guard after spending more than a day stuck outside the Port of Tampa Bay.
However, the next cruise, which had been due to depart on Monday night, has now been cancelled.
Royal Caribbean said it would offer full refunds of the cruise fare, as well as an extra 25% towards a future cruise booking.
"We understand that this was not what our guests were expecting, and not what we said last night, and we share in their disappointment," Royal Caribbean said in a statement.
About 2,500 customers had arrived in Tampa Bay expecting to board the ship on Monday.
The cruise line said foggy conditions are expected to persist for the next few days
