Royal Caribbean recruits Jo Rzymowska
Royal Caribbean International has appointed Jo Rzymowska as UK & Ireland sales and marketing director.
She joins in January taking over from Leslie Peden who left the company earlier this year to join American Airlines.
Ms Rzymowska has previously been with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Disneyland Resort Paris, Universal Studios, Thomas Cook and Hertz.
She joins as Royal Caribbean prepares to base Legend of the Seas in Southampton next summer for the company’s first dedicated cruises from the UK up against US rival Princess Cruises and its sister companies P&O Cruises and Cunard. Thomson Cruises is also sailing from Southampton for the first time in summer 2005.
Ms Rzymowska said: “I am looking forward to working in a sector of the industry which is experiencing unprecedented levels of growth. The increasing demand for cruise holidays coupled with the introduction of a dedicated UK product represents a very exciting opportunity for our travel trade partners.”
She joins Royal Caribbean as former UK boss Patrick Ryan moves to become managing director of Island Cruises, the line’s jont venture with First Choice.
