Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day Mexico to feature record-breaking water park amenities
Royal Caribbean’ has unveiled more details of new private destination Perfect Day Mexico, which is set to debut in late 2027.
The cruise company’s second Perfect Day will be both ‘familiar and new’ taking many elements of the original Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
It is situated on Mexico’s Caribbean coast in Mahahual. It will be a featured stop on Western Caribbean cruises from Florida and Gulf ports Galveston and New Orleans.
The 200-acre development will have up of seven individual zones, first arriving at Fiesta Plaza, showcasing dancing and live music.
The Splash Cove will have a combined lazy and crazy river and 100,000-square-foot pool plus child-friendly water slides.
For adrenaline seekers, the Loco Waterpark will be home to more than 30 water slides including the 10-slide Jaguar’s Peak and raft slides plus a wave pool.
The adults-only El Hideaway will feature a pool DJ and large 20-person cabanas beside a long stretch of white sandy beach.
Some amenities will be subject to an extra fee. Details on these will be shared at a later date.
Kara Wallace, chief marketing officer, said: “Our philosophy is to celebrate the destinations that we go to. It’s that careful balance of knowing what it means to celebrate a culture and really leaning into art, music, food.”
The company is touting some record breaking features at Prefect Day Mexico.
This includes the longest lazy river in the world and the tallest waterslide tower in the Americas.
