Russian hotel boost
InterContinental Hotels plans to open 100 hotels in Russia by 2020.
The hotel group sees Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) as a huge growth opportunity and is working with Prime Minister David Cameron to boost trade between UK and Russia.
“We see a huge opportunity to grow our hotel brands, such as Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn in Russia,” said Angela Brav, chief executive officer for IHG in Europe.
IHG also plans to introduce its newest boutique brand Hotel Indigo in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
