Ryanair again calls for ousting of NATS chief
Ryanair again called on NATS CEO, Martin Rolfe, to step down over continued air traffic control staff shortages.
Ryanair said the staff shortages delayed 38 flights by up to one hour on Wednesday, disrupting the travel plans of over 7,000 passengers overflying the UK.
Ryanair has been vocal in calling for ATC reform.
Yet the airline says UK flight delays caused by ATC staffing issues are getting worse due to ‘repeated NATS mismanagement’ and staff shortages.
Ryanair recently created the ‘Air Traffic Control Ruined Your Flight’ webpage for passengers to detail their delays and disruption.
The goal is to use this feedback to support ATC reform and demand Transport Minister, Heidi Alexander, sack Martin Rolfe.
